Meet George and Charlotte, our incredible rescue donkey siblings!

It breaks my heart to think back on their story and the unimaginable fate they narrowly escaped. These two beautiful souls were once living in a zoo, where their previous owner had sadly donated them for slaughter and intended to use their bodies as food for the captive big cats. This heartbreaking fate is all too common for many unwanted equines.

But in 2016, their lives took a remarkable turn when they were saved from this horrifying situation and brought to the Fields of Freedom Sanctuary. Now, George and Charlotte enjoy a life filled with love, care, and the freedom to roam in the sanctuary’s beautiful fields.

Their bond as siblings is truly inspiring to witness. They support each other in every step, filled with a strong sense of resilience and trust. Throughout their journey, they have taught us the profound strength that can be found in sticking together, no matter the circumstances.

We are honored to be a part of their journey of healing and are committed to providing them with a forever home where they will always be cherished and protected.
